Data Removal:
IT Disposal Ltd ensures that all Hard Disk Drives that enter our Approved Treatment Facility undergo a process of data erasure using Ontrack or Blancco software, ensuring compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998. Certificates of Data Removal are available to customers on request from just £5 per drive.
Drive Shredding:
Available for customers on or off-site, this process produces a 100% recyclable product. IT Disposal Ltd have the facilities for secure disk drive destruction and secure media destruction, from Hard drives to DVD’s, back-up tapes to PDA’s, Smart phones to laptops. While we try to encourage secure shredding on customers premises’ for peace of mind, we also allow customers to witness destruction at our Approved Treatment Facilities in London or throughout the UK.
Toner Recycling:
IT Disposal Ltd, working in partnership with a US based international toner recyclers, can offer a complete toner / cartridge disposal service. We will take all types of ink and toner cartridge, regardless of make or model, new or used. Almost all types are
recyclable and reusable, those which are not are simply milled so that the plastics can be reused.
ICT Equipment Recycling:
IT Disposal Ltd can recycle or reuse computers, servers, laptops, printers, faxes, scanners, plotters and photocopiers, which helps to ensure that the environment is protected. These items have almost 100% recyclable materials. Businesses with obligations under the WEEE Regulations are responsible for financing the collection, treatment, recovery and disposal of the EEE that they supply to businesses. IT Disposal Ltd can ensure that you meet these legal requirements.
Monitor Recycling:
UK Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) legislation prohibits the landfill of computer monitors and requires that they are recycled by licensed specialists like IT Disposal, who are an Approved Treatment Facility for the recycling of all WEEE.
CRT Monitor Recycling:
Cathode Ray Tube monitors are being withdrawn from use throughout the UK. Incorrect disposal of these monitors presents a significant danger to the environment. IT Disposal Ltd has an Approved Treatment Facility which ensures disposal, fully compliant with Environmental Agency requirements. The cost for disposal is £4.50 per CRT monitor*.
TFT Monitor Recycling:
Thin Film Transistor monitors are now also classed as hazardous waste and also need to be treated at an Approved Treatment Facility as they contain Mercury which needs to be dealt with by a specialist treatment facility. The cost for disposal is £2 per TFT monitor*.
